“The owner was so welcoming and the place was more than I ever expected. I am a teacher at a school in a nearby town and told him about my excitement to give a 2 week crash course of introducing D&D to my students. He helped point me in the right direction for the history and gave me so much knowledge of things I didn't have yet. I constantly recommend people go by and check out the space. My husband and I can't wait to check out the new building!”
— Emily “emrose” Hodapp“This shop is a gem. It’s always fun just wandering the aisles to see what’s come in, whether it’s board games, used books, or D&D gear. The owner clearly puts thought into keeping things fresh, especially with the rotating board games you can sample for free. What really sets this place apart is the space itself. The tables are open for people to game, try things out, or just hang out, and the vibe is welcoming without feeling forced or salesy. If you’re playing, the owner also offers snacks and drinks for a small cost, which is a nice touch and makes it easy to stay awhile. Every visit has been a positive experience. It’s the kind of local shop that makes you want to keep coming back, even when you didn’t plan on buying anything… and then somehow you do anyway.”
— Tara Daniel“What a great store and great people! As a miniature obsessed board gamer, I love that Aesop's is there for everything i need. I have bought countless games from them and just as much mini painting equipment. I have been to surrounding hobby stores and they exceed them all. Including the newest iteration of Miniature Market in STL. Our region is lucky to have such a fantastic niche store! If you are looking for a board game or RPG, this is the place for you, if you need paints or miniature painting supplies this place is for you! Thanks Vince & team!”
— Shawn Long“Every time I come here, it’s clean and well organized. The staff is always polite and helpful. They are stocked with almost everything you need for tabletop gaming and there’s almost always a game going on it seems. Definitely recommend this place for your tabletop games/needs.”
